CM reviews the presentation of Rajkot AIIMS

Chief Minister of the State Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani headed a meeting in Gandhinagar to review the proceedings of the Rajkot All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). A Design Consultant has been appointed for AIIMS Rajkot and the agency is in the process of being appointed and directed to complete these work by February 2020 and to start the construction work.

Details of the AIIMS Rajkot model and facilities available in the hospital were presented in front of CM through presentation during meeting. AIIMS in Rajkot will be built at a cost of Rs. 1100 crores. Mr. Rupani was also briefed about the total capacity of 750 beds and various 22 specialty treatments as well as 225 super specialty beds, 75 ICU beds and 30 beds available in casualty wards. He was also briefed about the other facilities for the patient and their relatives.

Rajkot AIIMS work is gaining momentum in the near future. This review meeting will speed up the work. Principal Secretary to Health Smt. Jayanti Ravi, Health Commissioner Mr. Jai Prakash Shivhare, Officials from Health and Family Welfare Department Government of India as well Representatives of AIIMS Jodhpur appointed as Mentor Institute for Rajkot AIIMS and Design Consultants joined the meeting.
