India rolled out the @WHO recommended Triple Drug Therapy in a phased manner across 4 districts in India. Rapid implementation of the policy made us the first country in the South-East region to introduce this new preventive drug regimen. India has adopted a comprehensive strategy to eliminate #Filariasis through administration of preventive medicines and morbidity management. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare @drharshvardhan signed this pledge to take every step towards eliminating LF by 2021. He said: This is a nostalgic moment which reminded me of the mass campaign against #polio I led in the early 90s. Our efforts to make India Polio free is an evidence of our resolve. Elimination of LF can be achieved with commitment and proper involvement of different sections of society.
