GSPC sponsored Refresher course attracts 250 Pharmacists in Surat

A Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) sponsored two days Refresher Course for Registered Pharmacists was organized by Maliba Pharmacy College (MPC) on Sept 28-29, 2019. Pharmacists play an important role in community health care providing information on medications to patients. In order to help pharmacist to acquire knowledge of new and banned drugs, drug interactions and side effects, GSPC has started Refresher Courses which is mandatory for all registered pharmacists to renew their existing registration.
Day 1, 28/09/2019 Saturday
The event began with the inaugural ceremony address by Dr. D.R.Shah, Provost, Uka Tarsadia University, Dr. Shailesh S. Shah, Principal, Maliba Pharmacy College Dr. Ashish Mishra Dean, Maliba Pharmacy College,Mr Srikant Joshi, member of GSPC and Mrs Richa Champaneria, Coordinator Refresher course. Total four lectures was conducted by the resource person on that day.
Day 2, 29/09/2019 Sunday
In Day 2, 3 lectures were conducted by the expert and followed by a written exam. The session was concluded by feedback forms and certificate distribution. The valedictory function was address by Dr Shailesh Shah,Director of Maliba Pharmacy College, Shri Montubhai Patel, President of GSPC, discuss the various role and responsibilities of pharmacist , Mr.Hitesh Bhuria briefed the audience regarding the activities of GSPC, followed by vote of thanks. Total 250 participants has attended this two days refresher course and the event was held at Shrimad Hall of the university. The event was supported by the faculty member, students and non-teaching staff of Maliba Pharmacy College.
